Precision cutting adds greatly to the brilliance of this Barion style emerald cut Umbalite from the Umba Valley in Tanzania. This fine lighter color of rhodolite garnet measures 9.1 x 6.2 x 5.7 millimeters and is a remarkable look alike for the rare pink sapphire from madagascar.. A few typical needles are present but are very difficult to find amongst the extra-ordinary brilliance of this gem cut in our shop. This comes from Steves November 2014 trip to Tanzania.
